Based in Albany, New York, the Northeastern New York Chapter of MPI serves south from the Catskills of New York, north to the Canadian border, and east to the Berkshires of Massachusetts and the Green Mountains of Vermont, and west to Syracuse, New York.

Founded in 2004, our Chapter has been recognized internationally for our award winning newsletter, consistent member growth and retention and overall member satisfaction.  Throughout the year we offer many opportunities for members to learn, share industry experiences and network with others. Our membership is comprised of association, corporate, independent meeting planners, special event planners, hoteliers (both on the local and national level), caterers, photographers, event decoration companies and other local suppliers.  We have representation from companies such as New York State United Teachers (NYSUT), Pitney Bowes (formerly MapInfo), American Council of Engineering Companies, NYS, Site Solutions, and Plaza Meetings just to name a few.

We have grown to more than 150 members and the majority of our members participate on a committee at some level.  We average approximately 50-60 attendees at our monthly educational programs (7 per year), 100+ at our special events (4 per year) and over 125 at our annual golf outing.
